Those of you who are following this link off of fan fiction probably know that I've been writing a story called A Tribute To..., and you've possibly read the first chapter cause that sort of relates to this. If you didn't know that...well, then go read it. Just kidding, but the point of this is that lately I've found myself wondering what 'A Real Man' is. What brought this on? In my English class we just finished reading a book called Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe.
The main character, Okonkwo, is struggling with what he believes a real man is. He believes the real man is tough, controlling, aggressive, and powerful. Now, before I go into another spiel about how screwy I think society is, I'm gonna stop myself and steal David Letterman's Top Ten List idea.
Top Ten Things I Believe a Real Man Are:
1. Fiercely Loyal
2. Patriotic
3. Passionate
4. Conspicuous
5. Strong, but not necessarily physically speaking
6. Dynamic
7. A Best Friend
8. Non-Stoic
9. A Protector
10. Present
OK, don't mock me. I had to come up with some good ass adjectives so this wouldn't sound like a 'Perfect Man' top ten. Anyways, I don't want this to just be my opinion. So, I encourage you to leave your own reviews and 'Real Man' top ten.
